This page sets out who owns what on cyberlyber.com, what you may do with it, and how to raise a takedown request if you believe something here infringes your rights.
Our written material
The text on this site is ours. That covers the write ups, the headings, the category descriptions, the way the material is selected and arranged, and the pages you are reading now. It is protected by copyright and it is not free to republish.
Copying a page and posting it elsewhere is not acceptable, whether it is done by hand or by an automated feed, and rewriting a page while keeping its structure and substance is the same act with extra steps. Neither is helped by leaving a credit at the bottom.
What you may do without asking
- Quote a short passage, one or two sentences, with a visible credit to CyberLyber and a working link to the page it came from.
- Link to any page here from anywhere, including forums and social posts. Links are welcome and no permission is needed.
- Print or save a page for your own reference while you are deciding on a purchase.
Anything beyond that, including republishing a full page, syndicating the catalog, or using the text to train or populate another product database, needs written permission. Ask through the contact form and say what you want to use and where.
Product images, specifications and brand names
The product photographs, specification tables, model numbers, brand names and logos that appear on this site are not ours. They belong to the manufacturers and retailers concerned and they remain their property. They appear here for one reason, which is to identify the specific product a page is discussing, so that a reader knows they are looking at the right model.
Their presence is not a claim of ownership, and it does not mean the brand endorses, sponsors or has any connection with this site. Nobody is affiliated with us by appearing here. A page about a Samsung Frame television is not published with Samsung’s involvement, and the same is true across the rest of the catalog, from stand mixers to radio antennas.
Where product data or imagery reaches us through a retailer feed, it stays subject to whatever terms that retailer and the manufacturer set. If you own that material and you would prefer it were not shown here, the section below is for you.
Takedown requests
If you believe material published here infringes your copyright, your trademark or another right you hold, send a request through the contact form. To let us act quickly, include:
- The full address of the page or pages concerned on cyberlyber.com.
- A clear description of the specific material at issue, for example a named photograph or a passage of text, rather than the page as a whole.
- Where the original appears, so the two can be compared.
- Your name and your relationship to the rights holder, and confirmation that you are authorized to act.
- A working reply address.
Requests of this kind go to the front of the queue. We will review the material, and where the complaint is well founded we will remove or replace it rather than argue about it. If we think the material is properly used to identify a product we will explain our reasoning and give you a route to take it further. We will not disclose your request to anyone who is not involved in resolving it, in line with the Privacy Policy.
